St John's College is committed to the pursuit of all round excellence, but with an academic emphasis. The College seeks to provide a congenial atmosphere for the all round development of its members.
The College welcomes applications from both undergraduates and postgraduates. In the case of postgraduates there are a variety of flats available which enable self-catering, whilst still maintaining the collegial ethos, including membership of the Senior Common Room and occasional tutoring of undergraduate members of College.
Membership of the College (currently there are approximately 320 in residence) opens up a world of intellectual, cultural, sporting, social and religious endeavour that provides a solid foundation for the rest of one's life.
